AC Milan have completed the contract renewal of Fikayo Tomori. The English defender will sign a new deal until 2027 with doubled salary.
AC Milan are currently busy on the transfer market trying to improve the squad available to coach Stefano Pioli. At the same time, the Rossoneri management are working on several important contract renewals. After Tommaso Pobega, AC Milan have completed the contract renewal of Fikayo Tomori.
The 24-year-old centre back will put pen to paper on a new five-year contract until 2027. His current agreement expired in 2025. Tomori became a key player for Stefano Pioli immediately after joining the squad on loan. He moved then captain Alessio Romagnoli out of the starting eleven and became the new focal point in defence.
The English defender initially partnered with Simon Kjaer and later served as a mentor for the young Pierre Kalulu. His excellent run convinced AC Milan to spend 29.5 million euros to sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent transfer from Chelsea. A high fee that the former Chelsea fully justified during the Scudetto victory.
The Rossoneri have decided to reward the 24-year-old for his great performances. Fikayo Tomori will see his salary double from €2 million to €3.5 million per season, plus bonuses. Thus Fik becomes one of the highest earners in the squad alongside Theo Hernandez, Olivier Giroud and Ante Rebic.
Tomori’s contract extension will be announced shortly by the club. Now Maldini and Massara will shift their focus on Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic. The club already has an agreement in principle with the Bosnian midfielder but the situation is much more complicated for the other two. Leao is reportedly asking for 7 million per season while Bennacer around 4 million.
