Tommaso Pobega will play in Serie A next year but it may not be at AC Milan with Filippo Inzaghi ready to take him at Benevento.
AC Milan are enjoying the great performances of Tommaso Pobega remotely. The 20-year-old midfielder is one of the most promising players to come out of the Rossoneri’s youth ranks recently.
The Italian youngster is a talented central midfielder with an eye for goal. In 22 appearances in Serie B with Pordenone Pobega has scored 5 goals and has provided 3 assists. He is expected to become one of AC Milan’s pillars for the future considering his displays so far with Pordenone.
But it is possible that his arrival at Milan may be postponed for another year. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pobega could go on loan again next year.
Benevento have contacted Milan regarding the possibility on signing Tommaso Pobega on loan in the summer. Filippo Inzaghi’s team is dominating Serie B and their promotion to Serie A is guaranteed with a 20 points distance from second place.
Pobega could complete his maturation under Inzaghi’s orders at Benevento before joining AC Milan. An option that will also depend a lot on who is going to be the next coach of AC Milan.
His Pordenone coach Attilio Tesser considers Pobega already ready for a big leap forward in his career but has advised the youngster to stay for another year on loan in order to gain more regular play time. Just like his former player Gaetano Castrovilli (now at Fiorentina) did before him.
