AC Milan are already planning for life after Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Rossoneri have reportedly blocked the new goalkeeper.
AC Milan just announced the contract renewal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker will stay with the Rossoneri until 2022 and end his career at San Siro. Nevertheless, the management has failed so far in renewal talks for Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu.
For both there have been no news in recent days as admitted by Paolo Maldini. AC Milan have offered the Italian goalkeeper a new contract at 8 million euros net per season but his agent Mino Raiola continues to ask for more. There are currently no conditions for white smoke. The risk that Gigio leaves at the end of the season on a free transfer is quite high.
AC Milan have already made plans regarding the possible replacement of Gianluigi Donnarumma leaves. The number one transfer target of the Rossoneri is Mike Maignan, the new star of Lille whose contract expires in June 2022.
According to reports by Tuttomercatoweb, AC Milan have blocked Mike Maignan for next season. The Rossoneri have reached an agreement in principle with Lille for a transfer fee of 17-18 million euros. Maignan has given his approval to the Rossoneri, despite interest from other clubs. Tottenham, above all, are strongly interested in his services because they are looking to replace Hugo Lloris.
Maignan faced AC Milan this season in the double clash of the Europa League group stage. He has already played alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic when they were both part of Paris Saint-Germain. The 25-year-old French goalkeeper revealed that the two used to practice a lot shots together in training.
Maignan is having a great season in France leading Ligue 1 with Lille after 33 rounds. He has kept 20 clean sheets in 43 appearances so far playing a key role in Lille’s title hopes. For his age, and for what he ha shown so far, Mike Maignan looks like the perfect replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma.
