Three AC Milan players are expected to leave when the January transfer window opens to play regularly elsewhere.
AC Milan are already planning for the upcoming January transfer window. The Rossoneri are still evaluating their moves regarding signings especially in attack. It is not year clear if Milan will make important investments for a new centre forward or right winger or if the matter will be pushed back for the summer.
However, Maldini and Massara will surely be busy on the exit front. Three AC Milan players are expected to leave the club in January, either on loan or permanently. The first on the list is Serbian striker Marko Lazetic. The 18-year-old is out of Stefano Pioli’s radar and has joined the Primavera squad.
Lazetic needs to play regularly but with Giroud, Origi and Ibrahimovic (returning in January) ahead of him in the pecking order it has been impossible for the young striker to claim space. Lazetic should join a Serie A or B club that will guarantee him regular football. There is high interest in Lazetic.
Similar fate will follow Matteo Gabbia. A transfer to Sampdoria was agreed for the Italian centre back but ultimately Milan pulled the plug on the deal. The Rossoneri preferred to wait and see how Simon Kjaer’s return would procced and at the same time brought in Malick Thiaw. Gabbia to set to join another Serie A club with Sampdoria still his most likely destination.
In January AC Milan will try again to get rid of Tiemoue Bakayoko. The French midfielder has yet to play a single minute so far and his situation is not expected to join anytime soon. Bakayoko had a number of offers during the summer but chose to stay in Italy. A return to England is possible while Olympiacos have expressed interest to bring him in Greece.
