The two transfer priorities of AC Milan
In the summer transfer window AC Milan will sign two top level players in attack confirms journalist Carlo Pellegatti.
Signing a new centre forward will be AC Milan’s summer priority. The Rossoneri have decided to focus strongly on a new striker, who can support Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish star will extend his contract for one more year while Mario Mandzukic will leave at the end of the season. When both have been absent, coach Stefano Pioli has used Rafael Leao in that position but the Portuguese is not a centre forward.
Journalist Carlo Pellegatti confirmed this line: “It seems to me that AC Milan want a centre forward regardless of Rafael Leao’s performance in this final of the season . The Rossoneri are also planning a top signing on the right wing. These are the two transfer priorities of AC Milan this summer“.
The candidates to play alongside Ibra in attack are already clear. AC Milan have been following for a long time Gianluca Scamacca, who winked at the Rossoneri in a recent interview, and Dusan Vlahovic.
Two very young strikers, the Italian is 22-years-old while Vlahovic. 21. The economic demands of their respective clubs are different but AC Milan’s final choice will go beyond the transfer fee they need to spend. Sassuolo want around €25 million for Scamacca, who is currently on loan at Genoa while Fiorentina have raised Vlahovic’s price tag to €50 million. In the coming weeks, once the problems related to contract renewals have been resolved, the Rossoneri will start to make concrete steps to strengthen the team.
Regarding the right winger role, AC Milan’s favorite player is Jonathan Ikone. The 22-year-old Lille star has a contract until 2023 and is rated at around 30 million euros. On the other hand, Lucas Vazquez and Florian Thauvin are easily reachable because they will be available on free transfers.
