Suso-Kalinic, new chance: Milan wants confirmation
Tomorrow, AC Milan face Sampdoria in a difficult game away from San Siro. Manager Vincenzo Montella returns to play against his old team.
The away match tomorrow against Sampdoria will be insidious and difficult, on a field where AC Milan when has triumphed, has always suffered or has managed to pull some memorable performances.
In order to try to repeat and beat Marco Giampaolo’s team, the rossoneri will rely on the best possible formation and above all on the attacking duo that manager Vincenzo Montella considers at the moment the best matched. New chance from the first minute for the duo composed by Jesus Suso and Nikola Kalinic, two opposing players for technical and physical characteristics and therefore ideal (on paper) to integrate into the 3-5-2 designed by Montella for several weeks as the game system to be used from now on.
That of tomorrow, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, will be an important proof for this attacking tandem. Montella will evaluate whether with this kind of offensive strategy Milan will be the right on to bring out the best, meaning with a moving and dynamic second striker and a stationary centre forward alert on the opponent’s area. In Serie A, the experiment of the duo Kalinic-Andre Silva is considered a failure for the moment and will be used only for the upcoming Europa League games. Meanwhile, tomorrow in Genoa much will depend on Suso’s ability to interpret this new role that sees him no longer as a winger but more free to act centrally.
