During his interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Rossoneri midfielder Andrea Poli talked about his tense relationship with Vincenzo Montella when both were part of AC Milan.
“It was a very bad year because of the relationship with the coach. Montella had a superficial management and he didn’t even knew how to communicate. I deserved to play much more for how I trained and how I behaved. His lack of consideration bothered me. Despite the attitude of Montella, I continued to give my best for me, for Milan and for the fans. For me the esteem and affection that the fans still demonstrate counts a lot”.
Andrea Poli, nicknamed the new Pirlo, joined AC Milan from Sampdoria in 2013 for nearly 10 million euros. During his 4 year spell at San Siro the central midfielder playing over 100 games before leaving for Bologna last summer on a free transfer.
