AC Milan underwent an unprecedented spending spree in the summer but nearly 250 million euros weren’t enough to guarantee results on the pitch.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will undoubtedly be one of the most sought after players of the 2018 summer transfer window. Lazio’s central midfielder is having a very positive season full of excellent performances. Claudio Lotito already imagines a huge gain from his sale. In Italy, currently only Juventus seem able to acquire his services. Abroad, however, there are several clubs that can put big-money deals on the table. There are talks of an evaluation of no less than 100 million euros that president Lotito gives to the 22 year old Serbian. A summer auction can start soon for this talented player.

According to the latest mercato news reported by Gianlucadimarzio.com emerges that in the summer the Rossoneri also considered the signing of Milinkovic-Savic. Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli presented themselves with an offer of nearly 60 million euros, but Lotito refused. The president of Lazio has sensed the possibility of being able to obtain even more from the sale of his gem.

Surely a player like Milinkovic-Savic could have been very helpful for AC Milan. A complete midfielder, physically strong and equipped with excellent technical qualities. Skilled both in defense and offense. This season he has scored 7 goals between Serie A and Europa League in 19 games so far. Not bad for the former Genk talent.

If for the rest of the season he will continue to play on the levels seen so far or even higher, Lazio can really aspire to collect a huge sum from the sale of Milinkovic-Savic. The Biancocelesti club has repeatedly proved to be good at maximizing revenues from the sale of some players, then going to replace them even better. One of the most recent cases is that of Lucas Biglia, finished right at AC Milan and replaced by Lucas Leiva. The former Liverpool is performing really well and the absence of the 31 year old Argentine is not being felt. On the other hand Lucas Biglia in the Rossoneri has ended up being a simple a reserve in recent times.
