Sky: AC Milan to meet Chelsea for two players

AC Milan will have a meeting with Chelsea to discuss the future of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Hakim Ziyech reports Sky.

AC Milan continue to be active on the mercato. Stefano Pioli’s squad lacks a right-back, an attacking midfielder, a right winger, a striker and a central midfielder. Sky Sport reports that the Rossoneri will have a meeting with Chelsea next week to talk about two players.

Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara is Maldini’s top pick for the midfield while Tiemoue Bakayoko is the alternative. The contract of the French player expires in one year but Chelsea have an option to extend it for one more year.

The 26-year-old has previously spent a season on loan at AC Milan and is pushing to return at San Siro. Chelsea, on the other hand, would prefer to sell the player for a figure of around 20 million euros rather than sanction another sale. Napoli too remain interested in Bakayoko and would like to have him back on loan.

The future of Hakim Ziyech will also be discussed in the meeting between the two clubs. Paolo Maldini is a big admirer of the Morocco international. Ziyech can occupy both roles as attacking midfielder and right winger.

Ziyech joined Chelsea from Ajax one year ago for a fee of 40 million euros. However, new coach Thomas Tuchel does not count on him for the new season. AC Milan can’t afford to spend €40 million for Hakim Ziyech. The Rossoneri hope that near the end of the mercato, Chelsea will accept to let Ziyech leave on loan with a buy option.
