Sky: AC Milan risk two seasons ban from Europe

UEFA voluntary agreement, Financial Fair Play

UEFA voluntary agreement

AC Milan are eagerly waiting for UEFA’s ruling regarding the FFP breach  with the club risking a long ban from European football.

A delegation from AC Milan was in Switzerland yesterday in a final meeting with UEFA regarding the Financial Fair Play breach. The Rossoneri presented their case and the ruling is expected within 48 hours but sources claim that a decision may arrive today and sensations from the club are not positive.

According to Sky Sport, AC Milan might not only be excluded from Europe this season but UEFA will give the Rossoneri a two year ban. A severe punishment by governing body of European football.

Reports suggest that there is a lot of negativity coming from the Milan camp. Even though the Rossoneri management tried to convince UEFA to separate in their judgement the club from the owner their efforts were useless.

There is a lot of skepticism regarding the stability of Chinese businessman Yonghong Li and his late efforts to sell club haven’t helped. AC Milan have confirmed that the club will appeal a possible decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne. Such a penalty would have horrendous consequences on AC Milan’s transfer market strategy.
