Shamrock vs Milan, probable lineups
AC Milan make their Europa League debut against Shamrock Rovers tomorrow at 20:00 CET. Pioli has only one formation doubt.
Tomorrow evening AC Milan make their Europa League debut against Shamrock Rovers in Ireland. Reaching the group stage of Europa League is a minimal goal of the Rossoneri but still they must be careful because Shamrock vs Milan will not have a second match at San Siro.
Coach Stefano Pioli has only a doubt for AC Milan’s first official seasonal appearance. While Rafael Leao still in quarantine, the good news is the full recovery of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who missed the last friendly matches against Vicenza and Brescia.
Besides Leao, other players that will be absent for Shamrock vs Milan are Conti, Musacchio, Romagnoli and Rebic. Thankfully with the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Pioli will have less to worry in attack.
In support of Zlatan there will be Samu Castillejo and Hakan Calhanoglu. Due to the absence of both Leao and Rebic, Saelemaekers’s candidacy is advancing but Brahim Diaz and Daniel Maldini cannot be ruled out completely.
No doubt about the rest of the formation with Donnarumma between the posts with Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia and Theo Hernandez in front of him. In midfield, Pioli will rely on last season’s dam made up from Bennacer and Kessie. For Sandro Tonali there will likely be room in the second half.
AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma, Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo; Bennacer, Kessie; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Saelemaekers (Maldini, Brahim); Ibrahimovic
