Pioli will make a number of formation changes and give Daniel Maldini his debut in Spezia vs Milan.
The Rossoneri will continue their Serie A march in a delicate match against Spezia. Spezia vs Milan proved to be a truly shocker last season when the home side defeated the Rossoneri with a net 2-0 result and put their Champions League qualification at serious risk.
This time Stefano Pioli is well aware of the shrewdness of the opponents. The Italian coach is preparing the match with a partial formation turnover due to the many injuries. Some players are not year available while other will be given a rest considering the very important upcoming Champions League match with Atletico Madrid.
The good news in defence is the return of Davide Calabria. The Italian right back is fully fit but Pierre Kalulu remains in advantage to start from the first minute. Kjaer is out again so Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli will form the central duo. Theo Hernandez completes the back four with Mike Maignan in goal.
In the last training session Pioli kept Tonali in the reserve team but Bennacer’s performances are not yet convincing. The Italian central midfielder will orchestrate the game even for Spezia vs Milan with Franck Kessie by his side.
Interesting changes up front. Pioli is considering giving Daniel Maldini his first minute debut. The young Maldini will take Brahim Daiz’s spot behind the centre forward. Saelemaekers will play on the right wing with Rafael Leao on the left. Olivier Giroud has fully recovered and is expected to lead the attack.
