Roma vs Milan, probable lineups
AC Milan will face Roma tonight at the Stadio Olimpico. Coach Stefano Pioli is set to make five changes from the Torino win.
AC Milan closed the first ten rounds of Serie A with a fantastic record of 9 wins and only one draw. The Rossoneri are jointly leading the league with 28 points together with Napoli. Tonight, the Rossoneri will face one of their toughest opponents. Roma vs Milan will be staged at Stadio Olimpico with Jose Mourinho’s side eager for points.
Five formation changes are expected form the Torino win according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Fikayo Tomori will partner again with Simon Kjaer at the heart of the defence. Theo Hernandez returns to play from the first minute on the left side with captain Davide Calabria completing the back four. Ciprian Tatarusanu will protect the goal in Maignan’s absence.
Pioli’s only doubts concerns the midfield. The Italian coach seems oriented to give Sandro Tonali a rest with Ismael Bennacer set to form the central duo alongside Franck Kessie for Roma vs Milan.
Brahim Diaz has fully recovered from Covid and will start from the first minute against Roma. Rade Krunic replaced the Spaniard during his absence but with underwhelming results. Despite the recent sub-par performances, Saelemaekers is set to start again with Rafael Leao on the left wing. Unlike the last match, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will lead the attack against Roma. Ante Rebic is not yet fit.
