AC Milan face Torino at San Siro tonight. Coach Stefano Pioli is set to make changes in every department with several players still injured.
AC Milan host Torino at San Siro tonight for the 10th round of Serie A. The Rossoneri are currently jointly-leading Serie A with 25 points so another victory in Milan vs Torino would allow Pioli’s side to extend their distance with Inter and other followers.
The good news is the return of Theo Hernandez after Covid. Pioli wants to give the French left-back a rest but today’s injury of Fode Ballo-Toure has messed up the initial plans of the Italian coach. Nevertheless, Theo will remain ready on the bench with Pierre Kalulu likely to start from the first minute. Fikayo Tomori will partner with captain Alessio Romagnoli at the center of the defece. Davide Calabria completes the back line.
Coach Stefano Pioli seems in doubt about one spot in midfield. Sandro Tonali is sure to start from the first in Milan vs Torino but the name of his partner has not be decided yet. Despite the match winning performance against Bologna, Ismael Bennacer is set to make room for Kessie who is favorite for a starting spot.
Only one change will be made in attack. Olivier Giroud will take Ibrahimovic’s spot from the start. Zlatan proved against Bologna he doesn’t yet have 90 minutes in his legs. Alexis Saelemaekers is untouchable on the right with Rafael Leao playing on the opposite flank.
Regarding injuries, the condition of Ante Rebic has not improved yet and will be absent for Milan vs Torino. Just like Brahim Diaz who will be available for next match. Samuel Castillejo suffered an injury with Bolgona but the good news is the return of Pietro Pellegri in attack.
AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu, Kalulu (Theo Hernandez), Tomori, Romagnoli, Calabria, Kessie, Tonali, Saelemaekers, Krunic, Leao, Giroud.
