Fiorentina vs Milan, probable lineups
AC Milan will face Fiorentina tonight at the Artemio Franchi Stadium. Pioli loses two key players in the last minutes.
Serie A football returns after the international break. The Rossoneri will be back on the pitch this time traveling to Stefano Pioli’s former club, Fiorentina. Fiorentina vs Milan has traditionally been a tough match for the Rossoneri who aim to continue leading Serie A.
Coach Stefano Pioli is set to make a couple of changes for Fiorentina vs Milan. Pierre Kalulu will take Davide Calabria’s spot on the right with Theo Hernandez on the opposite flank. Alessio Romagnoli will form the central duo alongside Simon Kjaer. Fikayo Tomori was supposed the start tonight but the English defender has suffered a hip injury and will not be available.
Sandro Tonali has become untouchable in midfield. This time the Italian talent will partner with Franck Kessie who is in advantage over Ismael Bennacer. Tonali-Kessie can now be considered Pioli’s first option in midfield.
Another bad news for Stefano Pioli is the injury of Ante Rebic who will miss the Fiorentina match. The Croatian was supposed to start from the first minute but now it will be Rafael Leao to play on the left wing. The only positive aspect is the return of Junior Messias after a long injury.
Alexis Saelemaekers and Brahim Diaz complete the trio behind the lone striker. It’s Pioli’s biggest doubt but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected the lead the attack with Olivier Giroud ready to contribute in the second half.
FIORENTINA (4-3-3): Terracianno, Odriozola, Venuti, Igor, Biraghi, Bonaventura, Torreira, Castorilli, Callejon, Saponara, Vlahovic.
AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Kjaer, Theo Hernandez, Tonali, Kessie, Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao, Ibrahimovic.
