Torino vs Milan

After the derby disappointment, it’s time for AC Milan to turn the page against Torino and coach Giampaolo will rely more on new signings this time.

We cannot talk about turnover from AC Milan in view of Thursday’s match against Torino but rather a real tactical and strategic mini-revolution. Something certainly needed to be changed, both in men and in attitude. The Milan squad seen against Inter in last Saturday’s derby was a true disappointment for the few chances created and for having suffered for the entire 90 minutes the counter-moves of Antonio Conte.

That’s why adjustments are more than welcomed in a squad that needs to find confidence. Marco Giampaolo’s number one change for Torino vs Milan will be the deployment of Theo Hernandez from the first minute. The former Real Madrid did great during pre-season but an injury postponed his league debut. Theo will replace Ricardo Rodriguez on the left with Calabria on the opposite side and Romagnoli and Musacchio at the center of the defence.

Another player who will lose his spot in the starting eleven after an underwhelming performance in the derby is Lucas Biglia. Ismael Bennacer will return in the control room to replace the Argentine defensive midfielder. Franck Kessie will be on the right but the name of the inside-left midfielder hasn’t been decided yet. With Paqueta injured, Calhanoglu seems in advantage over Bonaventura, however, a last minute surprise can not be excluded.

There were doubts about the use of Kris Piatek in Torino vs Milan reports Sky SportsThe Polish striker has scored just once so far and even on that occasion it was through a penalty. Still, Giampaolo trusts in him and Piatek will start from the first minute with Rafael Leao by his side and Suso as trequartista. Once again Rebic will start the match from the bench.

TORINO (3-4-2-1): Sirigu, Izzo, Lyanco, Bremer, De Silvestri, Baselli, Rincon, Laxalt, Berenguer, Verdi, Belotti.

AC MILAN (4-3-1-2): Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer, Calhanoglu; Suso, Piatek, Leao.
