Sassuolo have reportedly lowered their asking price for striker Gianluca Scamacca, a transfer target of AC Milan.
Gianluca Scamacca is one of the favorite names to reinforce AC Milan’s attack. The 21-year-old Italian centre forward has reportedly the approval of Rossoneri next coach Ralf Rangnick.
The Sassuolo striker is on AC Milan’s radar since the beginning of the season with both clubs unable to reach an agreement in January. However, it seems that Scamacca’s arrival at AC Milan has only been postponed since the Rossoneri have abandoned their pursuit of Napoli forward Arek Milik.
The talented striker is currently on loan in Serie B at Ascoli where he is showing all his technical skills. According to Calciomercato.it, Sassuolo have lowered their asking price for the Italy U-21. Initially, Sassuolo asked around 18-20 million euros for Scamacca but they are now willing to accept 15 million for their gem.
AC Milan remain very interested and if the reduced price is indeed confirmed that may be more than enough to close a deal. Gianluca Scamacca, after his past experiences at Rome and PSV, feels ready for another chance in a top club.
Another positive aspect for the Rossoneri is that Scamacca is a huge fan of AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 21-year-old has found the back of the net on 13 occasions in 30 appearances with Ascoli this season.
