AC Milan are considering the signing of a new striker in January and RB Salzburg’s Noah Okafor is available at a great price.
Noah Okafor has scored eight goals and provided two assists in fourteen appearances so far. The Switzerland international has made a particular impression in the Champions League. The 22-year-old has scored in every Champions match. An impressive feat considering that his victims have been clubs like AC Milan, Chelsea and Dinamo Zagreb.
The goal against the Rossoneri was a particular piece of individual skill putting Pierre Kalulu on the ground with an elegant dribble. His performance immediately caught the eye Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara who are considering adding a new striker to their ranks in January.
AC Milan have been plagued by injuries this season. Ibrahimovic returns in January while Ante Rebic and Divock Origi have often been sidelined leaving Olivier Giroud as the only striker available to Pioli. That’s why the signing of a new striker is being carefully evaluated by the management and Noah Okafor ticks all the boxes.
He is still young, with ample room for improvement and available at a great price. Red Bull Salzburg would like to keep Noah for longer but his contract situation (expires in 2024) leaves little room for negotiations. According to TodoFichajes, Red Bull Salzburg are ready to part ways with Okafor if an offer of €20-25 million arrives.
AC Milan are not the only club interested in Okafor. Premier League clubs, with Manchester United in the forefront, are keeping a close eye on his performances according to various reports. The English would have no problem meeting Salzburg’s asking price but a fee of around €20 million is also within Milan’s reach.
