Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi analyzes the performance of the Rossoneri and the Serie A situation in general.
AC Milan are back at the top of Serie A classification. Thanks to yesterday’s 2-0 victory against Salernitana, the Rossoneri are currently leading the Italian league with 38 points.
Arrigo Sacchi analyzes AC Milan’s performance and the situation of Serie A in general in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport. “It is an exciting championship. Teams are playing well, at a high pace. Speed is essential to give the fans adrenaline. Of course one thing must be said immediately: there are too many matches and therefore too many injuries”, said Sacchi.
“If we continue at this pace, the teams will expand, we will see squads that have have thirty or more players. The costs will increase and the show will not benefit from it. We must intervene before it is too late, it is necessary“.
Magnifying glass aimed at Milan who easily beat Salernitana: “Too much difference between the Rossoneri and Salernitana – admits Sacchi. Some things, however, I appreciated. For example, Leao and Kessie have done devastating things. Great duo. Florenzi seems to to be growing.
At the end Sacchi highlights AC Milan’s biggest problem. “The team seems to me to be fine, but the defenders, I will never tire of saying it, they have to move faster in order to further shorten the distance between the departments and make the maneuver more fluid. Brahim Diaz has made too many mistakes and Romagnoli worries me a little“.
