Roma reject chance to sign AC Milan star
For the second time this summer problematic agent Mino Raiola has offered Roma the chance to sign AC Milan’s star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Roma are on an unprecedented spending spree this summer with sporting director Monchi closing 11 signings and still moving. After selling Brezilian star Alisson Becker to Liverpool for a world-record fee of 75 million euros now he is in search of a quality replacement.
One of the names being considered is that of AC Milan youngster Gianluigi Donnarumma but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport the Serie A gainst have rejected the chance to sign Gigio for a second time this summer. Monchi is currently negotiating the purchase of Alphonse Areola (PSG) and Robin Olsen (FC Copenhagen).
His agent Mino Raiola continues to push for a move way from San Siro and is offering Donnarumma to a number of club in need of a new goalkeeper. Roma’s rejection makes the situation of the 19 year old Italy international even more complicated.
Despite the recent change of ownership Gigio, and his agent, still don’t seem too convinced. The club on the other hand is willing to sell Donnarumma but only for the right price, meaning more than 50 million euros.
