AC Milan are interested in signing Nicolo Zaniolo. Roma are willing to sell their right winger this summer.
AC Milan have joined the race for Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo. Initially the 22-year-old right winger seems destined to join Juventus, however, the situation has changed with the Rossoneri seriously interested in his services. So far, AC Milan have presented two bids for the Italy international but the response has been negative.
AC Milan reportedly offered 25 million euros plus Alexis Saelemaekers but Roma were not interested. Coach Jose Mourinho wants a player of different characteristics for that area of the pitch. Even the Rossoneri’s second attempt offering Ante Rebic plus €25 million did not prove successful. Roma’s answer was again no.
MilanNews.it reports that Roma have informed AC Milan on what it takes to get the green light for Nicolo Zaniolo. The Giallorossi want 55-60 million euros in cash for their talented forward and are not interested in any technical counterparts. The transfer fee may be paid several installments.
The €60 million figure is considered exaggerated by the Rossoneri management. Paolo Maldini is a big admirer of the 22-year-old Italy international. Despite his record of injuries, Zaniolo is widely considered a generational talent of Italian football but AC Milan have no intention t match Roma’s asking price.
Nicolo Zaniolo had a very positive season with the Giallorossi. The right winger played a key role in the historic Conference League triumph of Roma. Overall, he scored 8 goals and assisted 9 across all competitions. With just two years remaining on his contract, and no renewal talks, it looks like Zaniolo’s time at the capitol has come to an end.
