AC Milan have entered negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen for the signing of Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

The Milan duo is currently negotiating the signing of Andre Conti from Atalanta, Nikola Kalinic from Fiorentina and Lucas Biglia from Lazio. Now a new name has emerged for the rossoneri midfield. Hakan Calhanoglu, the 23 year old attacking midfielder of Bayer Leverkusen.
After Ricardo Rodriguez, Milan could again sign a player from the Bundesliga to strengthen the team. In Germany, media reports that the deal will closed in the next few days, although there is still a considerable gap between Bayer Leverkusen’s demand and Milan’s offer for the moment. Bayer Leverkusen in fact want 30 million euros, against a proposal by Milan around 20 million euros. The German newspaper contacted Bektas Demirtas, the Turkish midfielder’s agent, who has confirmed that he is in talks with the red and black club. “There have been contacts. Milan is among the top European clubs, but I would rather not comment the content of the talks”.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been constantly considered as Mesut Ozil one of the best midfielders in Germany. He joined his current team in 2014 from Hamburg SV for a fee of 15 million euros. He is often compared with his compatriot for his style of play. He is known for scoring many goals from free kicks and models his set-piece technique on those of Cristiano Ronaldo and especially Juninho.
