The injuries situation at AC Milan is not improving with Ante Rebic the latest name joining the list of players battling with physical problems.
If there is something that has been constant this season it’s the number of injured players. Since the beginning of the season coach Stefano Pioli has never had the entire squad at his disposal with many players out for various reasons.
Unfortunately Ante Rebic is the last name to join the injury list. The Croatian left winger had just returned to play 30 minutes in the derby after an ankle injury. He suffered a hamstring muscle rupture shortly before the Fiorentina match while attempting a heel shot.
Corriere della Sera reports that situation of Rebic is much more serious than initially thought. The 28-year-old left winger will stay out for nearly two months and is expected to be back on the pitch by mid-January.
Ante Rebic has made 11 appearances so far scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists. The former Eintracht Frankfurt star miss an important part of last season due to elbow and hip flexor injuries and Covid infection.
AC Milan are currently lacking options on the left wing with Rafael Leao being the only other winger in the squad. Often, coach Stefano Pioli has been forced to adapt Rade Krunic or Brahim Diaz on that position.
