The TRUE reasons behind Andre Silva’s failed move to Monaco

Andre Silva will not join Monaco despite the initial agreement. Now AC Milan must find a new club for the Portuguese striker.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Everything was closed and only the signatures were missing. Nobody could have predicted that Andre Silva’s move to Monaco would fail at the last second. The transfer is suddenly off. Unlike want was initially reported the Portuguese striker did not fail his medicals.

According to Sportmediaset, two problems, both of an economic nature, were the reasons why the deal is off. It’s true that Andre Silva still hasn’t fully recovered from his knee injury but the situations is not at all serious and in a few weeks his recovery will be complete.

However, unlike what it was initially agreed, Monaco tried to exploit Silva’s minor physical problem and wanted to lower his transfer fee from 30 million to 20 million euros. AC Milan refused and remained firm in their initial position that Silva leaves only for 30 million, the fee that was initially agreed between the two clubs. Monaco also tried to lower the player’s wage.

What will happen now to Andre Silva

Now that Andre Silva to Monaco is definitely off, AC Milan must find a solution for their unwanted striker. At the moment he is still a Rossoneri player but will not join the squad in the USA. Yesterday AC Milan made their ICC debut against Bayern Munich, playing a good game but losing 1-0.

The player is not part of the club’s plans for the future. Andre Silva is well aware and so is his agent Jorge Mendes. According to Sportmediaset, the well-known agent could decide to place him at Wolverhampton who have been looking for a striker for some time.

The Premier League club was strongly interested in Patrick Cutrone but the Italian striker is reluctant to leave San Siro. Andre Silva has been linked with Wolverhampton in the past but the English club and Milan failed to agree a transfer fee.

In addition to Wolverhampton, Marseille are another option for Andre Silva. With Monaco no longer a possibility, these are the two remaining alternatives for the Portuguese striker.
