Real Madrid forward offered to AC Milan
AC Milan are searching for a new striker. Olivier Giroud is the top name while Mario Diaz has been offered to the Rossoneri.
AC Milan are hoping to complete quickly the signing of French striker Olivier Giroud despite his recent contract renewal. Meanwhile, Maldini and Massara are looking around for alternatives, to be ready in case the former Arsenal does not succeed in terminating his contract.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz has been offered to AC Milan. The 27-year-old Dominican forward had a very disappointing season finding the back of the net only once in 22 appearances. He will no be part of Los Blancos’ plans for the future and is on the market for a fee of 10 million euros.
Nevertheless, AC Milan have kindly refused the proposal. Mariano Diaz is not the ideal profile for coach Stefano Pioli. In terms of characteristics and goal scoring he is not the perfect back-up for Ibrahimovic. The Rossoneri need a a different type of striker and the former Lyon is not an option.
Meanwhile, AC Milan are very interested in another Real Madrid player named Diaz. The Rossoneri are negotiating with the Spanish giants to renew Brahim’s loan for one more season. But this time Paolo Maldini is insisting to insert a buy option in the agreement.
Brahim Diaz adapted very well to life in Serie A. Thanks to Pioli he was able to show his talent after a year and a half with little space at Real Madrid. He is not part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for this season and there should be no problem to renew the loan. Agreeing a future transfer fee is another matter.
