Real Madrid have made a huge offer for AC Milan star Gianluigi Donnarumma but the Italian goalkeeper wants to stay at Milan.
Among the most important issues that AC Milan have to deal with in recent months is certainly the renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma. His contract expires in June 2021 and as a result the club wants to extend before next summer.
The negotiation is anything but simple, considering that Gigio already earns a huge salary (6 million euros net annually). Furthermore, negotiating with an agent like Mino Raiola is never easy. Obviously the will of the 20-year-old goalkeeper will be important, already decisive in the renewal of summer 2017.
Today the well-known journalist Carlo Pellegatti, a source very close to AC Milan, in a video on his own YouTube channel revealed the existence of a very lucrative offer from Real Madrid for Donnarumma. However, this proposal was rejected above by Gigio who wants to stay at AC Milan.
Despite the very high offer, with various reports claiming that Real Madrid offered to double Donnarumma’s wage, the Rossoneri club have opened renewal talks with its precious gem. The management wants to find an agreement and will sit down at the table soon with both Donnarumma and Raiola for further discussions. Maldini and Boban hope to find a satisfactory solution for all parties.
Despite the disappointing season so far the Italy international has been AC Milan’s top performer alongside Theo Hernandez. Gigio is a huge asset for the club and the Rossoneri have no intention to let their world-class goalkeeper leave. With nearly 180 appearances in 5 seasons, no other player of his age boasts similar numbers to Donnarumma.
