RB Leipzig name Nkunku price tag

Christopher Nkunku ac milan

Christopher Nkunku has attracted the attention of AC Milan after contributing in 53 goals with Red Bull Leipzig this year.

AC Milan are expected to make important investments this summer if the sale of the club to Investcorp is completed successfully. The Rossoneri need to improve their attack in order to make the squad more competitive next season and Christopher Nkunku is one of the prestigious names that has been linked to AC Milan.

The 24-year-old French attacking midfielder is having an extraordinary season with Red Bull Leipzig. Nkunku has scored 34 goals and assisted 19 in 49 appearances with the German club. Fantastic performances that have attracted the attention of many European clubs including AC Milan, Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Rossoneri will add a new attacking midfielder to their ranks this summer. Brahim Diaz has faded after a promising start so Milan desperately need a new player. Signing a player like Nkunku would improve the quality of the squad considerably but it will not be that easy.

Although the contract of Christopher Nkunku with Leipzig expires in two years, the German club will not give up on their star without a fight. RB Leipzig sporting director Oliver Mintzlaff recently declared: “Nkunku will be our player next year“. But he still admitted that “in football, no one is unsaleable.”

L’Equipe reports that Red Bull Leipzig are willing to left Christopher Nkunku leave only in front of a 100 million euros offer. A very high price tag for a player whose contract runs down in two years and has refused to sign an extension. Many clubs are expected test Leipzig’s reluctance when the summer transfer window opens.
