Rangnick comes out in the open on AC Milan
German coach Ralf Rangnick confirms the interest of AC Milan and outlines one key condition to join the Rossoneri.
Ralf Rangnick comes out in the open and confirms the interest of AC Milan. Interviewed by Mitteldeutsche Zeitung, the German coach explained what the situation is like about his future.
“There has been interest from AC Milan but with the Coronavirus situation there are other things to consider, besides thinking if Ralf Rangnick is the right man for them or vice versa“, says the Red Bull head of sport and development.
The man credited for the success of Red Bull Leipzig then explained what he expects from his future work experience, excluding the desire to participate in financial matters: “It always depends on the club, but I am not interested in the financial aspects. For me it is about having a certain influence, that has nothing to do with power, even if in certain situations you need it to carry on certain things.
I remember the first days in Leipzig: there were no physiotherapists, the doctors were gone, no technicians. And the season would have started in two weeks. Quick decisions are needed, first I hired Alex Zorniger, then I went to Leipzig and hired two new physiotherapists and two new doctors in five hours. Alexander Sekora recommended the others.
If theoretically I have to think about going somewhere else, I should to be able to do things this way“, Ralf Rangnick ends the interview explaining that he demands full decision making power rather a lucrative contract from the Rossoneri. The German confirms that the parties are still talking and that he remains the favorite to become the new AC Milan coach.
