Raiola admits free transfer plan to Italian rivals for second AC Milan player
AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli is set to leave the Rossoneri on a free transfer at the end of the season confirms Mino Raiola.
Agent Mino Raiola has given an interview to Rai Sport’s Total Football program, which will be broadcasted on Monday. However, a couple of statements from Raiola on Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli have already been reported by Tuttosport.
Donnarumma was really close to joining Juventus this summer but the move collapsed due to Fabio Paratici’s departure from Juventus. Plus, new coach, Massimiliano Allegri, preferred to keep Szczesny rather than sign the former AC Milan goalkeeper.
Now the attention is on Alessio Romagnoli. The contract of the AC Milan captain expires and it is unlikely that he will extend his stay at Milan. Dealing with Mino Raiola will not be easy at all and one of Romagnoli’s most probable hypotheses is a move to Juventus on a free transfer. Similar to what happened with Hakan Calhanoglu who joined a direct Italian rival.
The Bianconeri have to deal with the advancing age of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini. Romagnoli, could thus land in Torino with the aim of rejuvenating the defence. This hypothesis is confirmed by Mino Raiola himself who also has de Ligt at Juve.
“They are among the strongest defenders in Europe. De Ligt has a contract (until 2024), while Romagnoli expires next year. Yes, I think they could play together next year at Juventus but attention because De Ligt could also leave Juve at the end of the season. The market works like this“.
