Paris Saint-Germain have made their first official bid for AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta offering Draxler plus cash in exchange for the Brazilian.

The negotiation between AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain for Lucas Paqueta is officially in progress. PSG sporting director Leonardo has decided to take Paqueta with him in France after having brought the talented attacking midfielder to the Rossoneri exactly one year ago from Flamengo for a fee of 38.4 million euros.

It seems that the talks have proceeded well and the Ligue 1 giants have made their first official offer for the 22-year-old. AC Milan are apparently open to sell. In his twelve months at San Siro Paqueta has failed to express his talent. The qualities of the Brazil international are indisputable but he has struggled to adapt to a completely different football style compared to the Brazilian one.

Yet the impact was positive in the beginning. Gennaro Gattuso immediately deployed him in the starting eleven and called Paqueta a very European player. With Marco Giampaolo the music changed and now, with Stefano Pioli, Lucas has lost his spot in the starting eleven with Giacomo Bonaventura preferred in the left midfielder role. The Brazilian is not fond of the bench and therefore he’s ready to listen to the offers that come from Paris.

PSG have offered 8 million euros plus Julian Draxler in exchange for Lucas Paqueta. The Qatari-backed club have proposed the player a four-year contract of €3.5 million plus bonuses. Almost twice as much as what he earns at AC Milan today, so the boy is inclined to say yes, but Milan will hardly accept this type of offer.

The Rossoneri paid 38.4 million euros to sign Paqueta from Flamengo and the idea of the club is to cash in exactly the same amount. The cash portion, that is 8 million, is really too low to make Paolo Maldini and Elliott Management happy. PSG value Draxler at 30 million but his contract expires in one year and a half so the German midfielder will be available for less in the summer.
