Injured AC Milan player to stay out for 3 months
Young AC Milan goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari has underwent surgery today and will stay out for a long time.
The situation at Casa Milan regarding injuries couldn’t have been worse. Despite being so early in the season a big number of Rossoneri players are injured and unable to contribute for the squad.
Bakayoko, Giroud, Ibrahimovic, Calabria, Kjaer, Krunic and Junior Messias are currently out. Today, AC Milan have announced that Alessandro Plizzari has joined the long list of injuries and will stay for more than three months. The Italian goalkeeper has underwent surgery to solve the problem.
“AC Milan can confirm that Alessandro Plizzari underwent surgery today to deal with bilateral patellar tendonitis.
The operation, which was completed by the Club’s consultant orthopedist Roberto Pozzoni at the Clinica La Madonnina under the supervision of Club doctor Lucio Genesio, was a complete success. His recovery time is estimated to be three months“.
The AC Milan management had decided to keep Plizzari rather than loan him this summer. The Italy Under-21 is AC Milan’s third goalkeeper and would have been given his chances to prove his value in Cup matches. For the next few months, Primavera shot-stopper Andreas Jungdal will be promoted to the first team to work alongside Tatarusanu and Mike Maignan.
