This summer transfer window is expected to be busy not only in entrance but also in departures. Honda is just the first to lead the pack of the players sure to leave AC Milan this season.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – Yesterday Serie A 2016/17 ended with the Milan finishing in 6-th place. The rossoneri lost 2-1 against Cagliari but that may have been the last time we saw a couple of players wore the red and black shirt. A lot of player are rumored to exit but for some of them the departure is more than sure. Their adventure at Milan has come to an end.

Honda & Montella

Various footballers will not be any more under manger Montella’s orders. In today’s edition, La Gazzetta dello Sport, reports that the exodus will begin with Keisuke Honda. The attacking midfielder started from the first minute yesterdays match and also wore the captain armband as a sign of appreciation for his commitment in the last 4 years. Honda’s contract expires now and both parties have decided not to renew it. Honda arrived at AC Milan in 2014 on a free transfer from CSKA Moscow. The 30 year old will continue his career in Europe.

More at risk are the loaned players. Gerard Deulofeu has already said goodbye to Milan fans with a heartfelt post on facebook.  Despite the rossoneri’s desire to keep him Barcelona have decided to activate the famous “recompra“clause and sign him permanently for 21 million euros from Everton. Mario Pasalic is taking the same path. The Croatian is loaned from Chelsea and Milan have decided not to sign him. Pasalic has performed really well at Milan scoring in 6 occasions. Apparently the negotiations with Chelsea broke down because of the English club robust demands. Lucas Ocampos has prepared his luggage for some time now. The performances of the Argentine winger have been rather disappointing. He will return at Marseille in France. The only one to have a slight chance to be seen again in San Siro is Mati Fernandez one of Montella’s favorite players. The list of the players sure to leave AC Milan ends with Bacca. The attacker’s appearance against Cagliari was just the latest in a series of frustrating performances. His destiny is already written, Milan want to sell the Columbian but at the moment is hard to find interested suitors.
