AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli discusses the last Serie A match against Cagliari and the club’s plans on the transfer market.
Tomorrow AC Milan will play their last Serie A against Cagliari. The Rossoneri have reached Europa League qualification and the management is preparing for the upcoming transfer window. Meanwhile, in today’s press conference, coach Stefano Pioli talked on a number of issues.
On Cagliari: “We cannot improve our final position in the standings but we can take away another satisfaction. The boys have given everything, they need to take a break“.
On the fans: “It is a shame not to have shared the last victories with them, especially those at home. The fans have always supported us, even in difficult times. They want to always help us. Next year I am convinced that we will achieve great things and we will do it with them“.
On tomorrow’s line-up: “I would tell you but I don’t know either. We still have one training session. I have it in my head but I have to wait for the training and understand the condition of the players. Tomorrow it is important to finish the season well” .
On the transfer market: “At Milan, talented players are always needed, regardless of their age. We want to make signings to improve our squad, especially if we reach the Europa League group stage. I don’t think the team needs many purchases but the club is working on it and the owners are ready to invest. We expect reinforcements and to be even more competitive for next season“.
