Stefano Pioli is expected to make five formation changes for AC Milan vs Spezia. The Rossoneri return to plat at San Siro.
Having archived the Champions League victory over Red Bull Salzburg, the Rossoneri turn their attention to Serie A. AC Milan need to recover ground after the last league fiasco against Torino. The squad spent a lot of energy in Champions so Stefano Pioli is expected to make several formation changes for tomorrow’s Milan vs Spezia.
Matteo Gabbia will return to play from the first minute replacing Simon Kjaer alongside Fikayo Tomori. Theo Hernandez will be confirmed on the left with Pierre Kalulu on the right. Malick Thiaw is expected to take over in the second half. Ciprian Tatarusanu is tasked to protect the goal.
In midfield, it will be Sandro Tonali’s turn to catch his breath. Ismael Bennacer will play but his partner is Pioli’s biggest doubt for Milan vs Spezia. Tommaso Pobega and Rade Krunic are battling for the remaining spot. The Italian midfielder is in advantage according to Sky Sport.
Brahim Diaz will take over from Krunic in the attacking midfielder role. The Spaniard will play with Rafael Leao on the left and Junior Messias on the right. Pioli has decided to reward the Brazilian for his two goals in the last two games and abandon the Rebic experiment on the right wing.
Olivier Giroud will also be rested. The French striker was the absolute protagonist of the last Champions League match scoring two goals and providing two assists. Divock Origi will have another opportunity to lead the attack against Spezia.
AC MILAN Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Gabbia, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Pobega (Krunic); Messias, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Origi.
SPEZIA Probable XI (3-5-2): Dragowski, Ampadu, Kiwior, Hristov, Holm, Bourabia, Ekdal, Agudelo, Reca, Verde, Nzola.
