Pioli makes 4 changes and excludes Bennacer for Empoli match

Pioli-De-Ketelaere

AC Milan will face Empoli tomorrow away from the San Siro. The Rossoneri will look for a win before the Chelsea match.

AC Milan will be back on the pitch after the international break. Coach Stefano Pioli is forced to navigate this difficult period through many injuries. Theo Hernandez, Maignan, Florenzi and Origi will be unavailable for Empoli vs Milan while Ante Rebic will return on the bench after many games out.

The composition of the defence will depend totally on the physical conditions of Davide Calabria. If the AC Milan captain is fit, Simon Kajer and Fikayo Tomori will form the central duo with Fode Ballo-Toure on the left. Otherwise, Pierre Kalulu will be deployed on the right. Ciprian Tatarusanu will replace Mike Maignan between the posts.

Important changes will take place in midfield. The recent good form of Tommaso Pobega has not gone unnoticed. Pioli will deploy Pobega from the first minute alongside Sandro Tonali. Ismael Bennacer will be rested for Empoli vs Milan.

Alexis Saelemaekers will start from the first minute on the right wing. Junior Messias has suffered an injury yesterday and will not be available. Charles De Ketelaere and Rafael Leao will be in support of Olivier Giroud. The Belgian attacking midfielder is looking to find the back of the net for the first time with the Red and Blacks colors.

AC MILAN Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Ballo-Toure; Tonali, Pobega; Saelemaekers, De Ketelaere, Leao; Giroud.

EMPOLI Probable XI (4-3-1-2): Vicario; Stojanovic, De Winter, Luperto, Parisi; Haas, Marin(Grassi), Bandinelli; Pjaca (Bajrami); Lammers, Satriano.
