AC Milan have arrived in Austria today. The Rossoneri will make their Champions League debut tomorrow at 21:00 CET. Red Bull Salzburg vs AC Milan will be the opening match of Group E. Stefano Pioli’s squad aim to progress in the next stage and needs to overcome Chelsea and Dinamo Zagreb as well.

Ante Rebic has not traveled with the rest of the squad. The Croatian continues to suffer from a back problem and risks staying out also for the upcoming Serie A match against Sampdoria.

The 28-year-old left winger started the new season on a high note scoring two goals against Udinese. Rebic led the attack also against Atalanta but has not featured ever since. He had a difficult year last season missing many games due to injury. Florenzi is another player set to miss Red Bull Salzburg vs AC Milan because of injury.

The positive news for Stefano Pioli is that Divock Origi has fully recovered and should play more in the next few games. The Belgian centre forward arrived of a free transfer from Liverpool and is expected to play a significant role, at least until the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Origi also have valuable Champions League experience. Nevertheless, it will be Olivier Giroud to lead the attack against Salzburg. The French striker was in fine form against Inter and is eager to repeat himself in Austria tomorrow.
