Rossoneri striker Krzysztof Piatek talks about the difficult situation at AC Milan emphasizing his market value.
After finding the back of the net with the Polish national team, Krzysztof Piatek hopes to repeat himself in Serie A with AC Milan. It has been a difficult start this year for the former Genoa with just 3 goals so far but he’s convinced the tide is about to change.
Together with Lucas Paqueta, Piatek was among Milan’s two big signings last January. The 24-year-old cost €35 million to sign from Genoa and was a devastating force scoring 30 goals in his first season in Italy.
The Polish number 9 is not demoralized, on the contrary, in an interview with TVP Sport, he spoke with optimism about his future: “My career has developed quickly but I am not stopping, I always try to look further ahead. Today I am worth 38 million euros, when I change team I’m sure it will be worth at least 60-70 million. It’s just my second season in Italy, I know I can grow and improve“.
Piatek doesn’t seem convinced in staying at Milan for a long time, but he knows he must change his attitude: “I look for the fault inside me regarding this difficult moment. As a team we had so many difficulties, but now we are growing and I will return to ‘shoot’ soon. The criticisms is right even if in Italy one day you are the Pope and the day after the absolute worst“.
At the end some sweet words about the Rossoneri fans: “They’re incredible, they welcomed me from the first match. At my debut against Napoli, I had my headphones on, but when I arrived at the San Siro the noise were deafening and I could still hear the fans shout my name“.
