AC Milan are working to make the signing of Pietro Pellegri permanent from Monaco and then loan him out to another Serie A club.
AC Milan have yet to resolve the striker situation. During the first half of the season Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Olivier Giroud and Pietro Pellegri have battled with a number of injuries often forcing coach Stefano Pioli to adapt Ante Rebic in the centre forward role.
The Rossoneri want to sign a new striker in January but unless a player leaves thing will not change. Pietro Pellegri could be key to unlocking this situation with the young Italian striker being a wanted man on the market.
Corriere dello Sport reports that the Rossoneri are in continuous contact with his agent Giuseppe Riso. AC Milan want to make the signing of Pietro Pellegri permanent immediately and then loan out him to another club. The Rossoneri must pay 6 million euros to Monaco in order to acquire Pellegri.
Four Serie A clubs are interested in the 20-year-old striker. Genoa, Torino, Cagliari and Bologna have inquired about Pietro. Meanwhile, AC Milan are looking to loan Pellegri at Torino for the rest of the season. The two clubs are working to understand the feasibility of this operation reports Gianluca Di Marzio. His departure would allow AC Milan to bring in a new striker before the end of the winter mercato.
The Italian clearly needs to play more in order to find his best form. The former Monaco has made only 6 appearances with the Rossoneri closed by Ibrahimovic and Giroud. Nevertheless, despite his many physical problems, the management believes he can have a future at San Siro.
