OFFICIAL – AC Milan goalkeepers joins Empoli
AC Milan and Empoli have agreed a deal for the transfer of Gabriel Vasconcelos. The Brazilian goalkeeper will move on loan till the end of the season.
Now it’s official. Gabriel Vasconcelos Ferreira leavs AC Milan to join the Empoli squad of coach Aurelio Andreazzoli, who has just lost the starting keeper Ivan Provedel due to injury. Initially it was Sportitalia to report the completed transfer of the Brazilian goalkeeper to Tuscany. He joins his new team on loan until the end of the season. In order to complete his transfer to Empoli, the former Cruzeiro accepted to reduce his salary.
Gabriel has already had a Serie B experience with Carpi. At the time he did very well and was among the protagonists of their promotion in Serie A. But after that adventure, his career has not taken off at all. Loans at Napoli and Cagliari have not encouraged his growth. The Brazilian has played very little and has found himself fourth goalkeeper at AC Milan this season. Lately he was the third choice but only because Marco Storari suffered an injury. Now the 25 year old has a great opportunity to play regularly and demonstrate his true values.
