AC Milan have released on official statement offering an update on Alessio Romagnoli’s injury. The captain will stay out for 4 weeks.

The injury crisis has no end at Casa Milan. As reported yesterday AC Milan captain Alessio Romagonoli left Italy’s training camp after sustaining a muscle contracture.

The Italian defender has immediately returned to Milanello where club doctors are taking care of him. A few minutes ago AC Milan released an official statement on the conditions of the 23 year old.

This morning, Alessio Romagnoli underwent the medical examinations with the Club’s medical staff that revealed a lesion of the myotendinous junction of the medial segment of the left calf suffered yesterday, Friday, November 15, during the training with the National team. The red and black defender will undergo further clinical-instrumental controls within 10 days.

According to Sky Sport, Romagonoli will stay out for around 4 weeks. Another headache for coach Gennaro Gattuso who has only two centre back at his disposal, Cristian Zapata and Stefan Simic.
