After the club decided to relieve him from his duty, now former AC Milan coach, Vincenzo Montella, decided to say farewell via Twitter.
This morning, unexpectedly, AC Milan decided to fire Vincenzo Montella. The technician was sacked after yesterday’s goalless draw against Torino. A match that should have been won at any cost considering the fact that the rossoneri desperately needed a positive result. A victory would have helped Milan shorten the distance in the standings with teams like Smapdoria (3-0 defeat), Lazio (1-1 draw) and Roma (1-1 draw).
Initially the coach reacted on Twiiter to comment the issue: “Coaching Milan was an honor, working with this group even more. I thank the fans for their support, Fassone and Mirabelli for the opportunity and my staff who supported me at all times. I wish Rino to bring Milan where it deserves.”
