Former Juventus director Luciano Moggi claims that AC Milan have practically completed the first January signing.
Two weeks ago AC Milan decided to make a radical change. After only seven weeks in charge, the Rossoneri sacked Marco Giampaolo and appointed Stefano Pioli as the new head-coach of the club. Against Lecce the squad offered encouraging signs but that was not enough to grab a win.
The management is convinced that Pioli is perfect for a struggling club like AC Milan considering his previous similar stints at Lazio and Inter. In order to back Pioli, Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban are willing to invest when the January transfer window opens to improve the squad.
One of the players on AC Milan’s orbit for the past years is Rodrigo De Paul. The Argentine international is a very versatile player that plays on both wings and also as central or attacking midfielder but he’s much more comfortable and productive as left winger. And he could be much closer to Milan than anyone believes.
Luciano Moggi, former Juventus sporting director, in an interview with 7Gold, reveals that AC Milan have already agreed to sign De Paul. “Milan will sign De Paul. He should have arrived at the beginning of the season but for a thousand reasons a deal didn’t go through. Now they are talking again and almost certainly he will go to Milan, and he is the player that the Rossoneri need“.
Last season Rodrigo De Paul made 36 Serie A appearances for Udinese scoring 9 goals and assisting 7. Since last year, De Paul is a regular with the national team of Argentine having been capped 15 times. His potential arrival at San Siro in January would translate to departure for one between Suso or Hakan Calhanoglu.
