Back in his hometown, AC Milan’s sports director, Massimiliano Mirabelli commented the rossoneri’s mercato, potential targets and Jose Sosa’s sale.
Last night, Massimiliano Mirabelli, Milan’s current sports director, was awarded a prize at Rende, his hometown in the province of Cosenza, for distinguished sports achievements. Furthermore there was time to establish a partnership between the local club and AC Milan itself.
While collecting his award Mirabelli released some statements about AC Milan’s present and future for the microphones of Premium Sport. The sports director talked about the choices made on the market, some very expensive but useful to raise the team’s technical level: “Fans can dream, but without many illusions because the journey is long. From the summer transfer window we are satisfied, we reached 95% of our targets and it does not end here. Rafinha? There never was real interest from our part. The risk of starting as a big? No, we are calm, there are many players fascinated by Milan, we will not reshape the team.“
Massimiliano Mirabelli also talked about the positive start of the season, with six wins in six official games played: “We will give our best in all competitions, even in Europa League which is a tournament to be honored, because by winning it we could return directly to the Champions League next season. We need to have patience to open a winning cycle. The team is rich in elements, we play every three days and there will be room for everyone.“
In the end, a confirmation about Jose Sosa’s imminent sale (read here), now a step away from Trabzonspor: “We have agreed everything with the Turkish club, the decision is only for the player to make.” Today can be decisive for the passage of the 32 year old Argentine midfielder to the Turkish side of Trabzonspor. The fee of this transfer should be 5.5-6 million euros while the player will earn 5 millions per season.
