Yonghong Li in these days was in Milano for his third trip to Italy. After the one in April for the club’s sale closing and the first derby, there was the one in August for Milan-Cagliari. Now it was the turn of another challenge with Inter, that of the Italian Cup.
The Rossoneri president brings good luck, AC Milan won and qualified for the semifinal of Coppa Italia. In three matches that Mr. Li has been present at San Siro the club has enjoyed two successes and one draw. He’s a sort of amulet for Milan. It is no coincidence that Gennaro Gattuso said: “He was happy, he had lunch with us at Milanello before the match. When he comes to see us at the stadium, Milan has never lost. I proposed to block him, with all the money he spent for Milan, what’s the point of going back to China? “
Yonghong Li on the day of AC Milan-Inter Cup derby first arrived at Milanello. He had a meeting with the team and then lunch with Marco Fassone, Massimiliano Mirabelli, David Han Li and Rino Gattuso. On the first issue it was Fassone who reported to Yonghong Li while on the second it was the president to update the manager. Of course, the team and other corporate issues were also discussed, but the two above-mentioned issues were the main ones.
Yesterday afternoon, Mr. Li dedicated himself to some personal commitments, and then he had dinner with his family. In the next few hours, probably today or tomorrow, the Chinese businessman will leave the city.
