AC Milan will play again at San Siro this time against Lazio. Coach Stefano Pioli will continue to change his starting eleven.
A few days ago AC Milan won their first match under Stefano Pioli against Spal but the squad must think about the upcoming Serie A encounter with Lazio. Once again the Rossoneri will play their second match in a raw in front of their fans at the San Siro on Sunday.
Coach Stefano Pioli has decided not to speak with journalists at a press conference before Milan vs Lazio but he gave an interview to Milan TV and Sky Sport. The squad offered encouraging signals against Spal, however, they must continue at the same pace even with Lazio. Last season AC Milan vs Lazio finished 1-0 in favor of the Rossoneri.
Just like last time Pioli will make a couple of changes to his squad starting from the defence. Gigio Donnarumma as usual will be between the posts but with a different back four this time. Leo Duarte again will start from the first minute but this time at the center of the defence. He will replace Musacchio who is injured. Davide Calabria will play on the right. Theo Hernandez and Alessio Romagnoli complete the back line.
Coach Stefano Pioli considered Ismael Bennacer’s performance against Spal not enough convincing and he aimed to start Lucas Biglia again in the control room but the Argentine midfielder has suffered a light injury. Thus Bennacer will have another chance to prove himself. Lucas Paqueta is certain to play but the name of the third midfielder is still unclear. Franck Kessie and Rade Krunic are in a tight race with La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting it will be the former Empoli to play.
Suso was expected to return on the right in attack from the first minute. The Spaniard decided the match against Spal with a fantastic free kick but he, just like Biglia, has suffered an injury. Krzysztof Piatek will lead the attack with Hakan Calhanoglu probably on the left. Probably because Pioli could deploy Rafael Leao as left winger.
AC MILAN (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Calabria, Duarte, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Paquetà, Bennacer, Krunic (Kessie); Castillejo (Rebic), Piatek, Calhanoglu.
LAZIO (3-5-2): Strakosha; Luiz Felipe, Acerbi, Bastos; Lazzari, Luis Alberto, Leiva, Milinkovic-Savic, Lulic; Correa, Immobile.
