After two consecutive defeats, AC Milan are looking to turn the page today against Fiorentina led by former coach Montella.
The situation is grim but against Torino we saw a glimpse of what could have been. The Rossoneri’s game has started to improve, however, more work is needed for all mechanisms to perform perfectly from the defence to the attack.
After two consecutive defeats in the league AC Milan desperately need to make points against Fiorentina or risk losing additional ground against Roma, Lazio and Atalanta for the last spot in Champions League.
No changes in defence. Theo Hernandez has convinced Giampaolo about his abilities and will play again as left-back in front of Ricardo Rodriguez. Davide Calabria on the opposite side with Romagnoli and Musacchio at the center.
Another new signing who intends to cement his place in the starting eleven is Ismael Bennacer. The Algerian midfielder repaid Giampaolo’s trust in the match against Torino and will start from the first minute in Milan vs Fiorentina too. With Paqueta perhaps not his his best after an injury, Calhanoglu and Kessie are in advantage over Bonaventura and Krunic.
Coach Marco Giampaolo has only one doubt for Milan vs Fiorentina concerning the attack. Suso and Piatek are guaranteed to start from the first minute but who will be the third forward is a bit unclear. After the fine displays against Inter and Torino, Rafael Leao is in advantage over Rebic. That would be Leao’s third start within seven days that’s why Giampaolo is considering resting him and give Rebic his first minute debut.
