AC Milan vs Cesena, probable lineups
The probable lineup of AC Milan for the match against Cesena. The last summer friendly of the Rossoneri will be played on Saturday 17th August at 20:30.
MILAN NEWS – After winning the first friendly match against Feronikeli in Kosovo, AC Milan return to Italian soil to face Cesena in what is going to be the last friendly match of the Rossoneri before the start of Serie A. In ten days, AC Milan make their league debut against Udinese.
So far the coach has made some very specific choices. Probably, at the Orogel Stadium, Marco Giampaolo will confirm nearly the same starting eleven seen in the latest games but with some new faces. For example, Franck Kessie, back in early August from the African Cup, as well as Lucas Paqueta, could make their debut from the first minute.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will start on goal. In defense, Musacchio is favorite over new signing Leo Duarte, to partner alongside captain Alessio Romagnoli. Davide Calabria (with Conti ready to take over) and Ricardo Rodriguez complete the back line. In midfield, as mentioned, possible seasonal debut for Kessie with Biglia in the middle and Calhanoglu on the left. At the moment Hakan seems in advantage over Paqueta.
Ismael Bennacer, who like Kessie has just returned from Africa’s Cup of Nations, has been left home in the company of Rafael Leao and Krunic. The Algerian midfielder has just resumed training so Giampaolo is giving him more time to settle in. Rafael Leao and Krunic on the other hand have remained at Milanello to do personalized training according to the instructions of Giampaolo. Just like in recent games Suso will play as attacking midfielder behind Piatek and Samu Castillejo.
CESENA (3-4-3): Agliardi; Sabato, Brignani, Ricci; Capellini, Franco, De Feudis, Valeri; Valencia, Butic, Russini. All: Modesto.
AC MILAN (4-3-1-2): Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Kessie, Biglia, Calhanoglu; Suso; Castillejo, Piatek.
