The AC Milan management is about to sign a new very important sponsorship deal with enormous financial benefits for the club.
One of the most important missions of the new American Milan is undoubtedly to increase revenues, and fast. Not surprisingly, Elliott fund strongly wanted Ivan Gazidis as the new CEO of the club.
The South African executive, who served as Arsenal CEO for 9 years, will take office on December 1st. His task will be to relaunch Milan on a commercial level, in order to increase the turnover. La Repubblica reveals that the Rossoneri are on the verge of signing a mega deal with a huge sponsor. Negotiations have been fruitful and an official announcement will follow soon. The new sponsor is a company that wants to take advantage of Milan’s image globally and, in particular, on the Asian market. It will not appear on the shirt, but there is always the possibility of obtaining other commercial exclusives and making Milan the main testimonial of their campaigns.
Updates are expected also for the car sponsor. In fact, the club has remained without such a partnerships after Audi decided to say goodbye in 2017. A few weeks ago there was talk of a possible agreement with the Korean car manufacturer Kia, which is part of the Hyundai group. Elliott, owner of AC Milan, is a shareholder of Hyundai. At the moment it’s just a possibility and no such agreement has been reached.
