After signing Theo Hernandez last summer, AC Milan are looking again at Real Madrid for new purchases. The Rossoneri are very interested in 22-year-old midfielder Oscar Rodriguez.
SportMediaset reports that AC Milan are in official talks with Real Madrid to sign Oscar Rodriguez. The talented attacking midfielder was recently called up by coach Luis Enrique for Spain’s September games against Germany and Ukraine.
Rodriguez spent the last season on loan at Leganes. The Spaniard scored 9 goals and assisted 2 in 30 La Liga appearances with Leganes. He has returned to Real Madrid but is on the market for a fee of 20 million euros.
Oscar Rodriguez plays in the same role as Hakan Calhanoglu and would be the perfect replacement for the Turkish midfielder. In Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 formation he can also play on the wings. The main obstacle is the insistence of Real Madrid to insert a buy-back clause. Los Blancos are confided of having a potential star in their hands and are trying to avoid losing control completely on the player. Milan on the other hand are against this types of operations.
