Milan receive surprising offer for winger

Left winger Fabio Borini has been one of the few AC Milan players who performed above expectations this season and now the Italian is subject of offers from abroad.

It was the least celebrated transfer of last year’s summer overhaul but Fabio Borini has proven to be quite useful for AC Milan this season. The 27 year old left winger has been quite a versatile player throughout the season playing as striker, midfielder and even as defender when needed. The Italian played 44 games this season scoring 5 goals and assisting 7 times.

It seems as if his performances have caught the attention of West Ham. The London club would like to bring Borini back in Premier League after past spells at Chelsea, Liverpool and Sunderland and offer him a leading role in the team in contrary to his supporting position at the Rossoneri. Napoli of new coach Carlo Ancelotti has also inquired about his availability.

Much will depend on Gattuso since the coach considers Fabio as a valid member of his team and would like him to stay at San Siro. Before joining AC Milan, Borini had played just one year in Italy with Roma in 2011/12 and has spent all the rest of his career in England.
